大利清汤腩 @ Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Advertisements

Ok this place was recommended by the taxi driver who was driving myself and my friend when we were going to the other beef brisket place. So I took a short walk from my hotel, Charterhouse and reached the place in less than 10 mins. The place is tucked in a little alley from the busy roads of Wan Chai. Went in and was warmly greeted by one of the middle age lady waitress. She sat me down in front of the TV and I really love the place. Clean, bright and aircon is very strong. Love it. Check out the pics below:

The place... with a lot of reviews and pics of celebrities visited that place
That's 东方188 mall opposite...
阿牛 was here!
Other celebrities and food critic 阿苏 was there too
Clean and bright...
For my non-chinese friends, it means,"Remember to drink the soup. It'll be your loss if you don't!" Hence the soup must be really good.
Menu Side 1
Menu Side 2
First up, white radish. Very very juicy and it soaks up all the beef broth... nice... HKD$22
I was given one of the best parts of the beef brisket... forgot what it is called but it super tender and nice. Check out how every layer of meat is separated by a layer of fats... that's why so nice. The broth, I tell you it's soooooo gooood!!! - HKD$45
Plain noodles with veg. The noodles is really Q... mean it's very very supple and nice. HKD$10
A very satisfied customer...
Address of the place... they have another one near the turf club but this place is more convenient.

Soup Kambing (Indian Mutton Soup) – Upp Boon Keng Food Centre

Advertisements

Was at Upp Boon Keng Road Food Centre again. this time I was back to feature the Kambing Soup which is the much better one. But of course, eat in moderation. Maybe once a month the most. Check this out.

Super thick soup
Check out the chunks of mutton. Very lean and yet tender. Very tasty too!
Remember it's the 3rd stall from the left. The one with the green signage. Absolutely no regrets!

Rating: 5/5

Taste: Very good. Meat is tender cos they use the leg of the goat. Soup is really good and taste damn good when you dip the chunks of french loaves in it. Also check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWNKOmzZ1Lw. 🙂

Portion: Loads of chunks of mutton. No joke.

RTE: Yeah of course but not too often lah… Not good for health.

Location: Blk 17 Upper Boon Keng Road Market & Food Centre. Check out the online maps for direction. Very near Kallang MRT station.
