Nasi Padang @ Anna’s Cafe – Eunos, Singapore

Advertisements

Seems like I’m writing more about food that is around the coffee bar. Seriously I didn’t notice any interesting stalls inside Anna’s Cafe and it always seem gloomy and messy to me. But I ventured nevertheless, walked there one afternoon to hopefully find some hidden treasures. The first time I went I was actually taken aback by the $7.50 pack of rice but to be honest, there were 4 dishes of pretty awesome Beef Rendang, crispy salted flat fish, sambal dried mussels, some fried bittergourd and extra rice. 😁😝 So I went back again just yesterday wanting to try their Assam Pedas Fish but changed my mind when I saw the awesome squid-ink squids (sounds corny but that’s how it’s being cooked.)  Check out the pics:

Look out for Anna’s Cafe on the left of Changi Road

No sign board, that’s why my blog post no name also 😝

Variety of dishes for a small stall

The squid is da bomb! although my friend’s mum’s squids are the best. Well beggars can’t be choosers!

Tried the assam fish on 9th April 2015, nice and sourish gravy. Love it. somehow this packet ahe gave me a lot of veg… don’t tell me she knows I wrote this blog post? 😒😒😒

Rating: 4.5/5. Rice a little mushy if not perfect score.

Taste: Very nice and authentic. Love the beef rendang, squid is good too, and maybe will try their assam fish next. Sambal belachan would be good if a little spicier, not enough kick. But overall, good stuff!

Portion: The mains they gave a little more than some places. Veg however very little.

Service: Ok… Speak melayu you be served better haha…

Ambience: Hot coffee shop

Price: $5.50 for the last pic.

RTE: Yes because around my work place really nothing much to eat.

Location: 218 Changi Road. Coffee shop hours.
