4Fingers – Changi Airport Terminal 3, Singapore

This chain of restaurants needs no introduction… at least in Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia. So why am I writing about them? Reason is, I wanna clear the air with some friends who told me that this is a Korean establishment… No, no, no… this is actually a wholly Singaporean owned concept, currently owned by Bento Holdings Pte Ltd. I believe this is prolly because their specialty is in Korean fried chicken wings, hence the assumption it’s from Korea? Beats me man, but I checked them out anyways with some friends.

So we went to this outlet in Changi Airport after a tiring event and even though at 9.30pm, there is a blardy queue! Pretty turn off cos in Singapore now, you have to queue for everything… yes, even toilet. Sad but true… we are a freakin’ small country with too many people… Soon enough we will be sleeping standing up! Anyways, see pics below as usual and comments. 😉

Queue beeper… waited for like 10-15mins. Not as long as I expected.
Mixed flavours… really dunno which is which… 18pcs combo using DBS card cost $19.95.
Seafood Combo $9.95. Quite good, juicier than the wings actually.
Kimchi Coleslaw $3.50 – This one’s pretty good.
Seaweed and Kimchi Fries – Part of the combo… both are like those shaker fries… seaweed was ok, kimchi one was tasteless.

Rating: 4/5.

Taste: The sauces on the wings are pretty tasty but salty. Wings are crispy definitely but a little small and dry…. I felt they were a little over fried. But overall pretty ok.

Portion: Average.

Service: With a persistent long queue, only one person was taking orders at the counter… maybe shortage of staff.

Ambience: Like any other fast food restaurant.

Price: Total bill came up to $38.35 for 4 pax, including drinks and GST.

RTE: Maybe at the other 3 outlets to try their wings again and perhaps their drumsticks, which ran out when I visited.

Location: #B2-02 Changi Airport Terminal 3.

MacDonald’s – Terminal 3 Changi Airport, Singapore

Think all my readers will be like WTF??? Since when I write for fastfood joints right? Frankly speaking, much is true as I do write about fastfood for overseas outlets that are different or not in Singapore only. But the reason why I’m writing this is because of 2 reasons. 1. Because they now have healthier food options; 2. I wanna give compliments. So let’s see the healthier food options first:

Chicken McGrill Burger – Great for people watching their waistline like me… sigh…
Loads of veg!

Rating: 4/5.

Taste: Chicken is juicy and tender. A tad too salty to be healthy. But love the lettuce and tomatoes, very fresh!

Portion: Average

Ambience: Very nice reno with free PCs for surfing.

Service: Excellent. But I caught some new manager trainees counting down the number of hours left before their work day end. Not very pro in front of customers.

RTE: Yes I would whenever I fly back to Singapore!

Location: Arrival Hall Terminal 3 Changi Airport.

Now I wanna give compliments to this aunty staff for helping me with the food tray to my table of choice after I ordered. She did it cos she saw me having many luggages, hence she came out of her counter to carry the tray for me, even though there were waiting customers. Such actions make Singaporeans feel really at home, especially for those whom are away for a long time. Her name is Siew Yong and she doesn’t know I’m writing this about her. I have since wrote to MacDonald’s Singapore and request them to give proper recognition to her and thank her for me and those Siew Yong has served before. I hope her gesture will be emulated by all the service staff in Singapore’s hospitality industry. Thanks Siew Yong!
