Yeah I’m gonna write a series of good food in Yuen Long again. This shop has been there for decades and it’s located right in the middle of the whole Yuen Long town. Of course they are great for their balls especially fish, beef and cuttlefish balls. I have never tried their beef brisket though, hence I decided to try that this time. Check out my previous post 4 years ago http://wp.me/pCcuC-hB.
Overall Rating: 5/5. They are still offering prices around HKD$28 range and the freshness of the food here is amazing. Beef brisket melts in your mouth and very chunky! Writing this makes me wanna go back there soon! Awesome small air-conditioned place!
This place is highly recommended by my friend and people who lives around there. It’s basically a street stall inside a shopping mall. When you reach Kwai Fong MTR station, you have to walk on the link bridge and turn right to the older mall. If not clear better ask ‘cos I will get lost too. It was about 9pm but the business was still very good. This place I can conclude is totally unknown to tourists!
Rating: 4/5. Initial attitude was not there but service at the tables were good.
Taste: Nice and tasty… especially the chicken leg! Yums!
Ok this place was recommended by the taxi driver who was driving myself and my friend when we were going to the other beef brisket place. So I took a short walk from my hotel, Charterhouse and reached the place in less than 10 mins. The place is tucked in a little alley from the busy roads of Wan Chai. Went in and was warmly greeted by one of the middle age lady waitress. She sat me down in front of the TV and I really love the place. Clean, bright and aircon is very strong. Love it. Check out the pics below:
Rating: A definite 5/5!
Taste: I have never tasted anything so good. This will definitely be one of my favourites if I’m in Wan Chai again.
Portion: Average. Just right to make you leave with your mind planning for the next trip back there!
RTE: Put it this way, I AM planning my next trip back there… ;P
A super old friend of mine from school days brought me to this place for dinner/supper after catching up in Hong Kong recently. According to him, he loves the beef brisket there and would try to patronize the place whenever he’s back in HK. Thanks to him if not I will never know of this place.
Rating: 4.5/5. Would be a perfect 5 if it’s not as pricey.
Taste: Pretty awesome I must say. The broth is really the essence of dunno how many cows!
Portion: Slightly above average servings.
Price: Bill came up to around HKD$140. Quite alright for those who believe in paying higher prices for good food. But I found another place which apparently is better than this place for much lesser price. Will review it later. 🙂
RTE: Maybe. It’s good but the other place is better to my taste.
