Ren Ren Dessert 仁仁甜品 – Katong, Singapore

Believe it or not, I haven’t been to this shopping mall before in my life. If not for meeting some friends at Teo Heng for karaoke. As usual, I was early so I took a walk around the really old shopping centre. Then I found myself in the basement and discovered a food court there and then I spotted this dessert shop run by an old couple. So I decided to give it a try, and find the desserts are pretty good!

My order of Almond Cream with Ah Balling (Glutinous rice balls). Love the cream, thick and not so sweet.

Taste: Very nice traditional desserts. Too bad I couldn’t eat more.

Portion: Average.

Service: Uncle does the serving, looks a little fierce but when you talk to him, he’s actually quite nice! (Tip: Speak Cantonese with him!)

Ambience: Small but airconditioned.

Price: Prices are slightly on the high side for some of the items. Could be due to the rentals?

RTE: Yes, I wanna try the snacks and coffee pudding!
